FILM

Generally, I like to take on every aspect in my filmmaking: writing, directing, acting, editing, scoring, etc. For all of my films, all of the original soundtrack is written and recorded by me. Below is a compilation of my favorite scenes from my films. Beneath that, each of my favorite films are listed with a trailer and a brief backstory and synopsis.

Karma

While learning about different cultural beliefs in school, the class was given an assignment to teach about the different beliefs in cultures. Daniel chose to focus on the topic of Karma. He decided to create a film which would be entertaining while also showing what karma is. This film shows two completely unrelated stories. One with a person who exhibits good Karma, and another who has bad Karma.

Korman

When he first became interested in making films, Daniel and his brother would shoot improvised sketches between a therapist named Dr. Korman and his patient Jakey. Five years after the last sketch they created, Daniel decided to create a follow up film. This film is Jakey's first encounter with Dr. Korman in five years. However, he learns that Dr. Korman has been fired from his firm and has lost his license and is now a shut-in alcoholic. Concerned for his well being, Jakey tries to get him back into the world.

Family 2

This is the second of three films in Daniel's Family series. Written by him and his brother, this story is based on true events...mostly. Daniel decided to take the ridiculous events that have occurred with his family and spice them up and make them into a cheesy family comedy film. In this film, Peter goes to visit his grandparents. However, little does he know that his narcissistic cousins and aunt and uncle are visiting as well, the Wilsons. Crazy events happen but Peter cannot voice his concern because in his grandparents eyes, the Wilsons can do no wrong.

The Grandparent

Daniel decided for this film to move away from making comedy films. He instead took a stab at making an emotional drama. This film is about a grandfather, played by Daniel's grandfather, who is trying to win back his youngest grandson who is convinced that he loves the other more when visiting. However, is he actually spending time with his other grandson or is he going mad?

Brothers

The story of two brothers, Nick and Tom, working on a film about a person who has cancer and his struggle. While Tom thinks that they are just making  a film,  he quickly finds out that this film they are making is autobiographical to Nick's life. The subject of the film quickly becomes their reality. However, what is really reality?

How I Got Away With It

Richard Cox is a normal college student. Like many people, he hates his roommate. However, unlike most, Richard decides to put an end to his annoying roommate. Richard Cox narrates the story of how he got away with murdering his college roommate, Doug.

Documentary/Educational Films

Often in school, students are asked to create a project which educates the class on a subject. While most students resort to a powerpoint or just simply making a video in which they talk in a static way just feeding information to the people, Daniel always chooses to take a different route. He will create a film which is entertaining while also educational. One of his most successful attempts was for a project in which he decided to research and explain the connection of music and film. Daniel spliced together different comedic skits, movie clips, and narration in order to get the information out to the audience in an entertaining way. Within the narration, he would use comparisons and his unique sense of humor to make it entertaining.
